- Choosing gear
- Learning knots & rigging
- Finding trout in a lake or stream
- Selecting the flies that “match the hatch”
- Casting a fly, landing a fish
- Learning local waters and tactics
- Meeting local fly fishers
FF101 gives you everything you need to get started, or to take your fly fishing to the next level.
A minimum of 8 students are required for this class to be held.
GCFF Members - $10
Non-Members - $50
(Option to become a club member for 2026)
• All the gear you will need for the class
• Proven instruction – classroom + casting on the grass
• Presentation slides to view at home

Classroom at Briar Patch Community Room - 9 am to 12:30 pm
Lunch recess 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm
Classroom at Briar Patch Community Room 1:15 pm to 4:00 pm
