Fly Casting Skills Development - September's Session will be at Yuba Fest - September 6th

The next FCSD session will be on October 11th at the Forest Charter School Playfield in Nevada City and is open to the community. If you would like to join the members of GCFF and develop your fly casting skills, no matter your skill level. From beginner to advanced. Please join us at this FCSD session on the grass at 625 Zion Street, Nevada City.

The FCSD Foundation level is a great starting place for those picking up a fly rod for the first time, or beginners with some fishing experience. SYRCL’s education department has firmed up this fall’s Salmon Expedition schedule

and we want to spread the word to other folks who are frequently on the water - See attached for more detail.

Starting September 29th through November 21st, we will be taking out students Monday through Friday from 9:30am-2pm. We will also have a handful of smaller, weekend trips on Oct 25th, November 2nd, and November 8 th.

If you are interested in tagging along to learn more about the program, there is opportunity to volunteer as a naturalist on our school trips, or you could sign up for the community trips November 2nd and 8th.

And if you don’t want to play leapfrog with a bunch of kids while you float the Yuba, please take a look at the schedule/stops and plan accordingly.
